Legal Nurse Consultant

Curriculum

Certificate Requirements

To earn a Legal Nurse Consultant Certificate, you must complete 13 required courses, five legal specialty courses from the Paralegal Studies Certificate program and eight Legal Nurse Consulting courses.

The ABA requires that we test our LNC students' college level writing proficiency and that we require those students who do not pass a writing skills test to complete a college level English composition course. Your writing proficiency will be tested during the Introduction to Law class. Those students who have passed the WST will not be required to take this writing proficiency test.

Program Format

The Legal Nurse Consultant certificate courses are conveniently offered in the evenings and on weekends at all three Cal State East Bay locations – Hayward Hills, Concord and downtown Oakland.

Required Courses (from Paralegal program)

Course schedules, including the quarters courses are offered in, are subject to change. For the most up-to-date information on courses currently being offered, visit the course catalog.
