Application to College - Before applying to college you must first have an OpenCCC account.

The OpenCCC single sign-in account allows you to access the online services of the California Community Colleges.

OpenCCC is a service of the California Community Colleges Chancellors Office. The information in your account is kept private and secure. Once you apply through OpenCCC you will receive an email with your Student ID -  Create an Account or Sign In

  • PREPARE for your Assessment  - Assessment Testing
  • SHOW UP to your Assessment appointment.  Please bring a picture ID.
  • Assessment is required for all new students unless they are exempt*. LAMC offers assessments for English, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Math. Call or visit the Assessment Center (Campus Center 1529) for assessment times and dates. QuestionsAssessment (818) 364-7613

  • PLAN to meet with a counselor after your Assessment test.   - Counseling QuestionsCounseling (818) 364-7656 -
  • Meeting with a counselor before registering in classes provides you with an opportunity to review your educational goals, research majors, plan courses, and develop a Student Educational Plan (SEP). Call or visit the Counseling Department for counseling appointment availability and/or drop-in hours 
  • Register/Pay for Class 
  • Email counseling or email a counselor

Exemptions

 

You do not have to complete Orientation/Assessment/Ed Plan if you 

  • Earned an AA, AS, BS, BA or higher degree
  • Are still attending High School in 11th grade or lower
  • Have on file at LA Mission College:
  1. A Current Student Education Plan with a Counselor
  2. Documentation of completed Assessment testing or pre-requisite completeion
  3. Completed the LA Mission College Orientation.
