What is Office 365 Education for Students?
Office 365 Education for Students is an Office 365 plan that is available for free to students who attend academic institutions that have purchased Office for faculty and staff available at www.Office.com/GetOffice365. This plan allows students to install Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, and Access on up to 5 PCs or Macs and Office apps on other mobile devices including Android, iPad®, and Windows tablets. The plan also includes 1TB of OneDrive storage, managed by the school, and students can edit and collaborate using Office Online, Yammer, and SharePoint sites.
Office 365 Instructions
1. Go to http://student.laccd.edu and log in with your student ID and Pin. This will open your LACCD Outlook web email
2. Once logged on, open a new browser window to http://portal.office.com. This will give access to the online version of Office. For future access, you can go straight to this website and enter in your laccd.edu email address and password. You can find this email address from the Outlook web email page, at the top right, click on the person icon
3. If you do not see the options to download Office on the Office portal, go to http://www.office.com/getoffice365. Click on Find out if your’re eligible
4. Enter your student.laccd.edu email address and click ‘Sign up’. Then click Start
5. The next page should show you links to download and install Office on your personal devices. These links will also now be available in http://portal.office.com
