I talked with Debby today about training of math faculty, and we came up with the following ideas:
1. Debby suggested that we get faculty together at the end of the semester, and she will do a training - one day (afternoon, or morning) of math faculty with Thomsonnow software
2. We discussed fcaulty mentoring, and at that same meeting in December, Debby will start a mentoring program for maybe 4-5 of the newer math faculty.
3. We would like to send 8-10 faculty to the Cube 3 Math Conference (?) in March. Can we pay the registration fees of $100 or so. Then if they come back and integrate what they learn in the classroom then they will get $100.
just wanted to send this off, and get your thoughts. sorry I missed the meeting today. I was in Council of Instruction at the same time. Debby brought me up to speed.
Can you talk to Hanh about the labeling of the CET equipment as Title V?
thanks Belinda. The CET Alcove is now complete, it has the final computer, a big MAC. and we will have Juan do some training of faculty on it.
take care.
