Good Morning,

Thank you for making our first CTE meeting an informative one.  We discussed a couple issues that I will work on with you when we return after the holiday break.  I would also like to thank Mark Hobbs and Dean Sarah Master for their expertise and input regarding the Labor Market Information (LMI) and Supply/Demand Data, as well as the data collection and tracking requirements and process in the Strong Workforce Program (SWP).

As a group, we determined toward the end of the meeting that if you wanted to submit a project for 2016-2017 funding, you should submit a project description/proposal to me by Friday.  With your help, I will be working this weekend and next week to get all of our project plans submitted by next Wednesday, Dec 21.  I have not received any proposals to date.

We have prepared the LMI and Supply/Demand data for each of our CTE programs, so I just need the following from you (according to the program application):

  • ·         Name of person submitting proposal, and contact information (to reach you next week if needed)
  • ·         Discipline & TOP Code
  • ·         Project Description (how will this project help to increase enrollment and completion?)
  • ·         Are you currently working with industry or an Advisory Board?
  • ·         Current & Projected Program Enrollment (2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19)
  • ·         Current & Projected Program Completions (2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19)

o   Number of students earning a certificate or degree

o   Number of students who transfer to university

  • ·         Basic Budget (please indicate amount and description of the expense)

o   Instructional Salaries

o   Non-Instructional Salaries (classified/students)

o   Benefits

o   Curriculum Development

o   Supplies/Materials (including software and licenses)

o   Equipment

o   Other (describe)

Think in terms of enhancing what we are already doing in order to increase enrollment and completion.  Please send your proposals to me via email by this Friday, Dec 16.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
